I've been doing web design work for The Investors Paradigm and some of their advisors for almost 18-months now. They are a great company to deal with, and they have a lot of great ideas. They are creating a lot of value in the world today. If you've never played Robert Kiyosaki's Cashflow 101 game, you might want to check out the Cashflow Events (http://www.tip-club.com) put on by The Investors Paradigm. EquitiMutual CashflowWealth are some of the latest projects I've been working on with The Investors Paradigm. Working in cooperation with their branding guy, I did the HTML/CSS and other development work on these single-page lead-generation web sites.Check them out at www.cashflowwealth.com (http://www.cashflowwealth.com/) and www.equiti-mutual.com (http://www.equiti-mutual.com/).Coming soon will be a complete redesign of The Investors Paradigm's main site: www.theinvestorsparadigm.com (http://www.theinvestorsparadigm.com/)

LatterdayConservative.com, my hobby site.

LatterdayConservative.com is dedicated to teaching the
  principles of freedom and the

proper role of government (http://www.latterdayconservative.com/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=1), from an LDS perspective, using

quotes (http://www.latterdayconservative.com/modules/wfsection/viewarticles.php?category=5),
talks (http://www.latterdayconservative.com/modules/wfsection/) and
articles (http://www.latterdayconservative.com/modules/wfsection/) by Latter-day Saint prophets and other prominent LDS Church members. LatterdayConservative.com promotes the belief that rights come from God, and that governments were instituted of
God for the benefit of man, in order to protect those rights. This site has been a long-time passion and hobby of mine. I created it because of the love I have for freedom and and the desire helps others better understand freedom and the current threats to it. The site has had many designs over the years to get to where it is now. Some Google stats on the site: As of today, a search for lds freedom puts latterdayconservative.com (http://www.latterdayconservative.com/) at #1 in the results. lds constitution = #2, gordon b hinckley freedom = #9, skousen freedom = #3, cleon skousen = #7, joseph smith government = #5 . . . You get the idea. When searching for LDS content related to freedom, politics, government, etc. LatterdayConservative.com comes up in the top ten very often.

What is Web 2.0?

The idea of Web 2.0 became notable after the first O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004. During that conference O'Reilly Media brainstormed the concept of Web 2.0 and what it means, here is an example: Web 1.0 Web 2.0 DoubleClick --> Google AdSense Ofoto --> Flickr Akamai --> BitTorrent mp3.com --> Napster Britannica Online --> Wikipedia personal websites --> blogging evite --> upcoming.org and EVDB domain name speculation --> search engine optimization page views --> cost per click screen scraping --> web services publishing --> participation content management systems --> wikis directories (taxonomy) --> tagging ("folksonomy") stickiness --> syndication Quoting from O'Reilly Media:"Like many important concepts, Web 2.0 doesn't have a hard boundary, but rather, a gravitational core. You can visualize Web 2.0 as a set of principles and practices that tie together a veritable solar system of sites that demonstrate some or all of those principles, at a varying distance from that core."You can find more details about Web 2.0 on O'Reilly Media (http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/oreilly/tim/news/2005/09/30/what-is-web-20.html) and Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2).

The Pros and Cons of Niche Blogging

Thanks to dailyblogtips.com for this informative article: One of the most important decisions that youll will make when starting a new blog is choosing a topic or subject. You have the option of choosing a highly-competitive and crowded market, or you can select a niche with fewer existing blogs. Too many new bloggers dont realize how much this decision will impact them down the road. Lets take a look at some of the pros and cons of blogging in a smaller niche. Pros: 1. Less Competition. The most obvious advantage to being in a niche is that youll have less competition. Youll have less competition for traffic, for product sales, for affiliate product sales and whatever else you do. 2. Easier to Get Visitors to Subscribe. In more competitive niches your visitors may already be subscribed to a number of other blogs on your topic. In this case its difficult to encourage them to add more reading to their routine. You really have to show how valuable your can be for them. But if you are blogging in a small niche your visitors may not be subscribed to any blogs of your kind. If they are interested in the subject theyre much more likely to subscribe.

Is Podcasting Right for You?

A podcast is a collection of digital media files which is distributed over the Internet, often using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers. The term podcast, like "radio", can refer either to the content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.Though podcasters' web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from other digital media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added, using an aggregator or feed reader capable of reading feed formats such as RSS or Atom. Now that we've covered what a Podcast is... Is a Podcast right for you?In this age of instant communications you can't afford to only make direct person-to-person contact with your prospects, customers or employees once a quarter. You need a podcast to get your message, in your own voice, in front of these key audiences on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

7 Ways to Promote your Site with a Bit of Money

Thanks to dailyblogtips.com (http://www.dailyblogtips.com) for these excellent tips: Some time ago I wrote an article titled Are you marketing your blog? (http://www.dailyblogtips.com/are-you-marketing-your-blog/) where I argued that there is a myth around the Internet that bloggers and webmasters should not spend money on advertising. The myth comes in great extent from the success stories of people that managed to create popular websites without spending a dime on advertising or other paid promotion techniques. The reality is that most of those successful websites were pioneers on their niche, hence why they became popular without spending money on advertising. Now a days the market is crowded and you have thousands of websites and blogs even for small segments. As a consequence paid promotional techniques are becoming an important factor of any successful marketing strategy.

Blog Project: 30 Traffic Generation Tips

Thanks to dailyblogtips.com (http://www.dailyblogtips.com) for these great tips: First of all a big thank you for every one who participated. As I said before the number of entries surprised me (and the quality as well, I will definitely apply some of those tips myself). Now, without further delay, the 30 Traffic Generation Tips: 1. Sridhar Katakam (http://www.sridhareena.com/) Keep track of blogs and leave comments on them. A good way to keep the conversation going is to install a MyBlogLog (http://www.mybloglog.com/) widget and visit the blog of people visiting your site. 2. Ian Delaney (http://twopointouch.com/) Nothing creates long-term traffic more than value. Consider writing posts with resources or explaining how things work. Useful things get linked to and they get onto del.icio.us, which is far better long-term than a digg front page.

A website can be used for much more than just a place to obtain information. A website can be a tool in accomplishing your goals, whether that is to earn more money, acquire more leads, entertain and/or inform more people, etc. Its easy to create a great looking website, but whats the use if theres no one looking at it? How do I get more people to look at my website, you ask. Online Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Online marketing and SEO can be just as important to your business as local marketing. The amount of marketing youll want to do depends entirely upon what results you want. For some people it is enough to simply include their website address on their business cards and use their website as a way of validating that it is a real business. Some use their websites as a place for people to learn more about that business. Others have their websites work for them! Your Website Can Work for You! Online marketing generally consists of having advertisements and links on other websites that bring people to your website. This could be done using services such as Googles AdWords, Whitepages, Yellowpages, and etc. You can market your website using blogs, forums, directories and articles. Also, you could even choose to target your marketing towards a certain geographical location or towards people with sepcific interests, the possibilities are endless.
9 Branding Tips for Small Businesses

When I find useful information I like to share it. There are thousands of blogs out there offering great tips on things from branding and marketing to SEO and blogging. I bring some of the most valuable information together here. The following tips (http://www.smallbusinessbranding.com/655/branding-tips-small-business/) come from smallbusinessbranding.com (http://www.smallbusinessbranding.com). If you like this information you may want to visit their website for more tips. If you want to implement some of these tips on your website, or create a new website with these tips in mind, contact Weblife to get started today.Think branding is only for large multi-national corporations? Think again. Here are 9 easy tips you can use to grow your brand with your customers. 1. The design of your logo really doesn't matter. Would you choose MSN as your search engine over Google because of their logo? No, having a nice professional logo is great, but it very rarely increases sales. I'm all for a professional logo, but don't think you need to spend a fortune on it. It's more important to include your logo on every piece of communication. Put it on business cards, letterhead, envelopes, invoices, yellow page ads, building signage, newsletters, etc...

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Tips from Weblife

There are some important factors that affect your website rankings with Google, MSN, Yahoo! and the other search engines. Outlined below are some do's and don'ts of website optimization. Most of the items below apply mainly to Google (the most popular search engine) and partially to MSN, Yahoo! and all the other lesser search engines. Don't worry if some of this is like a foreign language to you. With Weblife as your website designer you are in good hands. Some Do's: tag:Keywords in tag shows in search results as your page title. The title tag must be short (6 or 7 words at most) and the the keyword must be near the beginning. This is one of the most important places to have a keyword because what is written inside the Keyword density in document text: Another very important factor you need to check. 3-7 % for major keywords is best, 1-2 for minor. Keyword density of over 10% is suspicious and looks more like keyword stuffing, than a naturally written text. Keywords in anchor text: Also very important, especially for the anchor text of inbound links, because if you have the keyword in the anchor text in a link from another site, this is regarded as getting a vote from this site not only about your site in general, but about the keyword in particular.

Ten of the Top SEO Tips

By David Leonhardt - www.seo-writer.com From the obvious to the "Hey-I-never-thought-of-that-great-idea-before", here are 10 of the top 52 tips on how to optimize your website for its turbo-charge rocket ride up the search engine rankings. Be bold. Use the <b> </b> tags around some of your keywords on each page. Do NOT use them everywhere the keyword appears. Once or twice is plenty. Deep linking. Make sure you have links coming in to as many pages as possible. What does it tell a search engine when other web sites are linking to different pages on your site? That you obviously have lots of worthwhile content. What does it tell a search engine that all your links are coming in to the home page? That you have a shallow site of little value, or that your links were generated by automation rather than by the value of your site. Here is an example of deep linking (http://www.alltheweb.com/search?avkw=fogg cat=web cs=utf-8 q=link.all%3Athehappyguy.com%2Fhappiness-workbook.html+-site%3Athehappyguy.com _sb_lang=pref), in this case to my personal happiness workbook (http://www.thehappyguy.com/happiness-workbook.html).
